The Kickstarter VIP launch email

When you select “Notify me at launch”, Orbilock saves your email, the time and wording of your choice, and the signup form used. This requests one Kickstarter launch notification. There are no newsletters or prototype-update subscriptions, and a signup does not reserve a product. We do not ask for your name.

If you join from a matching checker result, we also save the door answers you submit. Submitting the signup form records your launch consent immediately; no confirmation email is required. Existing unsubscribes and other email exclusions are respected. You can change your choice through your private space. Contact enquiries and photo reviews do not subscribe you.

We may record short campaign labels supplied in the page address or the referring website’s hostname with your submission. We do not save full referring URLs or private assessment URLs as attribution. Country is not requested by the current forms and is shown as not specified when unavailable.

The owner can prepare campaign drafts and download batches of subscribed addresses. The download record includes the campaign and original download date; it does not prove that an email was sent. Unsubscribed and deleted contacts are excluded from later downloads. Previously downloaded files must be updated or removed separately.

Your private space and email links

Orbilock’s website, private database and photos are hosted with OVHcloud. Requested private access emails are sent through the OVH mailbox hello@orbilock.eu. Web3Forms and external email marketing platforms are not used by these forms.

Access links expire after 15 minutes and can be exchanged once. Opening a private access link does not change your launch subscription. You can change it after entering your private space. Confirmation links issued before this update still work until they expire. The website stores token hashes, rather than the original access tokens.

Essential, secure session cookies keep you signed in to your private space. Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity or eight hours in total. You can manage the launch preference, read customer-visible review replies, access your photos, download your information and request deletion in your private space.

Your door checker and photos

You can check your door without providing an email. Unsubmitted answers are held for the current visit. When you send an assessment for review, we store the answers, photos, email and notes you submit so the team can respond. Your launch subscription is a separate choice.

Photos stay on your device until you submit them. The checker resizes them to JPEG, and the server decodes and saves them again to remove embedded image metadata. Keep faces, house numbers, key cuts and unrelated personal details out of view. Photos are kept outside the public website and are only served through access-controlled endpoints.

Saved photo assessments and their photos expire 60 days after they are first saved. Expired assessments are inaccessible and removed during scheduled cleanup. You can delete an assessment earlier from the checker during your visit or from your verified private space. This does not remove a separately requested launch subscription. Saving team feedback does not automatically send an email.

Contact enquiries

The contact form saves your email, chosen topic and message in Orbilock’s private dashboard. These details are used to answer your enquiry. It does not send your message through Web3Forms or add you to the launch list. You can request access or removal using the same email address.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics is off until you turn on the optional “Allow Google Analytics” control at the bottom of a public page. Leaving it off does not affect signups, the checker or your private space. You can turn it off again using the same control. The choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days.

With your permission, Google receives limited events about public page visits, checker starts and completions, dial interactions and successful signups. The integration uses fixed public page addresses and event names. It does not send your email, tokens, submitted answers, photos or private page addresses. Google still receives technical information needed for the connection, including your IP address. The integration does not run on the customer space or owner console.

Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits. Advertising features are disabled in this integration. See Google’s privacy policy for its processing, including international transfers. Analytics can be withdrawn without deleting your submissions.

Retention, protection and your choices

Launch signup records are retained for the requested launch notification or until you ask for deletion. An unsubscribe marker is retained to honour your preference until you ask to delete the contact. Contact enquiries are kept while the team handles your request and can be removed on request. Access and request limits use short-lived keyed hashes, not a stored raw IP address. Audit records are removed after one year. OVHcloud and Google may process their own service logs under their applicable policies.

To correct information, ask for access or deletion, or raise a privacy question, use your private space, email hello@orbilock.eu, or select “Unsubscribe or privacy request” in the contact form. Backups and previously downloaded files need separate handling by the owner.
